Kipas Susah Mati Linkin Park

LP: Chester, Mike, Brad, Hahn, Phoenix, Rob.

Aku memang minat Linkin Park sejak dorang keluarkan album pertama "Hybrid Theory" 12 tahun lalu. Masa tu aku baru form 1 duduk dekat SMSS. Layan beb lagu-lagu dorang macam Crawling, Papercut, In The End. Memang naik la band ni dengan concept Nu-metal atau dalam kata lain rap-rock. Punyalah aku ni minat gila dengan LP sampai tiru apa yang Chester (lead singer) punya outfit dalam clip video In The End. Baju tshirt kaler hitam, kemeja khakis, seluar khakis. Aku beli sebijik macam tu pakai time raya. Gaya rambut pun sama, potong gaya spiky sampaikan Cikgu Khursiah (Cikgu kelas 2 Jaya) gelarkan rambut aku macam kebun bunga. Masa tu form 2. Bukat setakat tu je, aku penah lukis flame kat wrist aku tiru tattoo Chester, warnakan kuku aku dengan marker pen hitam macam Phoenix. Time ni memang tak matang lagi la. Perangai budak sekolah la katakan. Kalau kenangkan balik mesti aku senyum sorang-sorang. Haha! Sampaikan kawan-kawan masa sekolah dulu panggila aku Chester.


Kenapa eh aku minat sangat dengan Linkin Park ni? Well, it's not just only they're making a good music, they also very creative in artworks. I love their album cover for Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Stencil artwork. Aku memang minat art dan berjiwa seni. Aku siap lukis lagi gambar soldier dari cover album Hybrid Theory. Tampal kat bilik, lekat kat locker, atas meja kelas. Poster dorang jangan cerita la. Penuh dalam bilik, dalam locker. Haha! Memang taksub gila la. Another thing aku minat LP is because their songs' lyrics are quite meaningful. I polish up my English by listening to their songs because when you buy their album, all lyrics were included. As a die hard fan, I will sing along every  time I play their songs. So, secara tak langsung I learned so many new words that sometimes I never heard before. If I don't know the meaning, I'll find it in the dictionary. That's how I enriched my vocabulary. *FYI, dorang tak guna explicit lyrics until the recent album ni. Itu pun sikit-sikit. But most of their songs are clean dan bukan jenis mengarut-ngarut.

Dulu ayah aku selalu bising bila aku dengar LP. He doesn't like it. Biasalah, abah zaman Bee Gees, Beatles, Boney M. Mana layan LP. Nak2 lagu-lagu dorang semua menjerit-jerit. Lagi lah. Abah siap panggil LP "Setan Park" lagi. I still remember it and will always remember. Never mind la. Everybody has their own taste of music. I know what I'm doing. As long kita tak lalai sudahlah. Dulu yes, I'm very obsess with LP. Nowadays, as I grew up, getting more mature, no more obsession like the old days. But still I like LP. I bought every single album that they produced. Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora, A Thousand Suns but the latest album; Living Things belum beli lagi. Sume album ni ada yang cassette ada yang CD.

As the time goes by, LP pon makin slow. Not aggressive as they used to be. Maybe sebab dorang da tua. Tak larat nak screaming banyak sangat. Album dorang makin rilex. Just one or two songs je yang ada jerit-jerit. Mula-mula dengar memanglah macam awkward, lama-lama I can accept it. They said that they wanted to produce an evolution in their music. Well, I guess they did it very well. Sekarang lebih kepada Rock-Electronic. Layan jugak lah. 

Okaylah, enough babbling about LP. I leave you guys with one of their famous song; was once became a phenomenal hit: In The End.
